BOOKS

Teach Thissen Tyke -  Published 1971 by Frank Graham of Newcastle. It was a guide to Yorkshire patter and I was co-author with Austin Mitchell, now Labour MP for Grimsby. We also did an LP.  300 were produced, 25 given to pals and loved ones and 13 sold.

Bedroll Bella - Published 1973 by Sphere Books.  My first novel - very racy in the style of Mickey Spillane and Harold Robbins. It was about the exploits of a 17 year old Geordie lass and a bunch of hippies. Banned by Smiths and Menzies on the same day.

The BBC Book of World Darts -  Published 1979 by BBC Books.

The Lowe Profile - Published 1980 by Arrow Books. Part biography, part instructional manual.  Co-authored with John Lowe.

Roots of England - Published 1980 by BBC Books.  Tie-in with TV series studying traditional English families in mining, fishing, etc. Co-authored with John Miller.

Jocky: Jocky Wilson’s Own Story - Published 1983 by Arthur Barker.  I helped Jocky write his life story, but some chunks of it he could not recall.

Bedside Darts - Published 1985 by Stanley Paul. Yarns from the oche about Rees, George, Evans and Co.  Sold well, but last time I saw it -  in 1990 in a shop in Aberystwyth - it was in a big remainder pile

The Power: The autobiography of Phil Taylor - Published by HarperCollins October 2003 in hardback and May 2004 in paperback. A joint effort by Phil and myself.

I also did a video of my daftest lines in 1999 called Sid Waddell’s Wacky World of Darts.  It was produced by Contender and is still on the market.
